19-year-old Emma Watson banked the most money in 2009

Hollywood's leading ladies were honored with Oscar nominations this week, and accomplished and time-tested actresses like Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock both earned nominations. While credibility and experience is always a valued commodity, it's youth that topped the earning list among females in Hollywood this year, as 19-year-old Emma Watson banked the most money in 2009, signaling a major shift in the showbiz landscape.
For years, industry stalwarts like Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston topped the actress earnings list. While they're certainly not Hollywood's most elder crowd, they brought to the table seasoned and respected filmographies along with their good looks. Watson's topping of the Vanity Fair earning chart signifies a shift away from this.

At just 19, Watson's career has infinite possibilities. Her earnings are based largely on her work in the 'Harry Potter' series as Hermione, and the fact that the series' finale is coming in two parts -- for which Watson pulled in $15 million per film. That put her annual bankroll for 2009 at $30 million, edging out Cameron Diaz by 10 percent, as the lanky blonde pulled in $27 million.Fron:www.popeater.comSource URL: http://bollywoodsexygirls2012.blogspot.com/2010/02/

Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore says she is not afraid of wrinkles

Ageing is one inevitable problem which stars have to deal with, but Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore says she is not afraid of wrinkles.

The Charlie's Angels star loves her life at the moment and is not bothered about growing old, Contactmusic reported."It's the best time of my life. It's not traumatic at all. I don't think I've ever been happier. It's like the older I get, the better I get," the website quoted her telling Cosmopolitan magazine.

The 34-year-old actress, who recently made her directorial debut with Whip It!, plans to stay behind the camera if age starts taking a toll on her looks. "Gravity and wrinkles are fine with me. They're a small price to pay for the new wisdom inside my head and my heart. If everything becomes hideous and gross, I won't worry.

I'll just stop appearing in front of the camera. That's fine with me because I love producing and directing," said arrymore.From:www.hindustantimes.comSource URL: http://bollywoodsexygirls2012.blogspot.com/2010/02/

The glamour model, who divorced singer Peter Andre last year, tied the knot with Celebrity Big Brother winner Reid at the Wynn Hotel wedding chapel in

    front of family and friends.

The newlyweds said in a statement: "We are very much in love and look forward to the future together. We can't wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes."

Heidi Montag is changing her tune about her mother’s reaction to her plastic surgery

Heidi Montag is changing her tune about her mother’s reaction to her plastic surgery.

Just two weeks after telling Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that her mother, Darlene, thought her post-plastic surgery debut on the cover of People magazine was “beautiful,” “The Hills” reality star is now claiming that her mom’s reaction was intense. Heidi claims in this week’s issue of People magazine that her mother looked at her like she was a “circus freak” after the 23-year-old recently flew back home to Colorado to see her family.

“She was looking at me almost like a zoo animal,” Heidi told the mag of their first post-surgery meeting, which was reportedly filmed for “The Hills.” “It wasn’t like I was her daughter anymore. She was looking at me like I was a circus freak.”

But that wasn’t the story she told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush just weeks ago.

“She said the cover looked beautiful,” Heidi told Billy of her mom’s reaction to her People post-surgery debut.

    “She did?” Billy asked.

“Mmmhmm. She said obviously she loved me the way I was and she would never tell me to do anything, but that she always supports whatever my decision is,” Heidi said.

However, on Wednesday, People magazine Senior Writer Joey Bartolomeo offered more information about what Heidi has to say now.

“Heidi says her mom is heartbroken over her new face and body,” Joey told Access. “Heidi said her mom says her confidence is gone.”

But coming to Heidi’s defense is Joan Rivers, who knows a thing or two about surgery scrutiny.

“I feel very sorry [for her] because she tried to come out and be honest about it,” Joan told Access. “And when you really looked at the 10 procedures, it was nonsense, it was a little Botox and a little this, a little that, and a couple of bigger things and it’s a business of beauty.”From:www.chinadaily.com.cn

Women always want to look and feel beautiful

Plastic surgery has always been a hot button topic in Hollywood. At least once a month, tabloids publish issues with stories speculating which celebrities had work done and where. Most recently, Heidi Montag, a ditzy reality television star, admitted to having 10 plastic surgery procedures. She’s only 23!

As we all know, plastic surgery isn’t just confined to the youngest and hottest of Hollywood. Women of all age groups and ethnicities go under the knife every year according to 2008 statistics from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Ninety-three percent of the surgeries were performed on women.

Breast augmentation and Botox seem to be the most popular; perky breasts and wrinkle-free faces are in. Why is that?

The bombardment of media images of what is beautiful coupled with low self-esteem is usually the cause. Women always want to look and feel beautiful. If we have a weak moment, we’ll readily buy into what the media says.

It’s sad really. Hollywood is full of celebrities who have gone under procedures, and the exposure makes it seem as if plastic surgery is the norm.

The train of thought follows as this: ‘If celebrity A is going under the knife, and she’s my role model, maybe I should go under the knife too. She’s already pretty, she’s just enhancing what she has. There’s nothing wrong with being beautiful.’

All these stories twist reality and people’s perceptions of what is normal in the looks department. Plastic surgery stories populate tabloids and magazines alongside model ads and horror cellulite stories, forcing women to re-evaluate their own looks and contemplate forking over thousands for an enhancement.

Although most procedures are permanent, I think a person’s happiness is more at stake. What if you don’t like what the doctor did to your face, stomach or butt? Will you go back unsatisfied, hoping that a second attempt will give you the desired results? If someone is unhappy with how they look now, plastic surgery will only give them temporary happiness.

Women should focus on other aspects of life; it’s the things we do that make us happy. Looks only get you so far. Besides, when you die, you’ll decay into dust, and all that plastic surgery will have been for naught.

I have a friend who at 18 got rhinoplasty done because she felt insecure about her nose. She’s trying to make it in the music industry, and was definitely pressured by the high-class people around her. But she was more beautiful before the procedure.

I can only hope that girls and women alike will learn to love themselves from the inside out and recognize that beauty takes on many different forms. We don’t all need to look the same. We should celebrate our individual shapes, imperfections and assets. They make us special, and that individuality is worth much more than the price of a procedure.
